Travel Documents

Arrival Card All foreign citizens traveling to Malaysia must complete an Arrival Card. This document does not replace a visa, but is required to enter Malaysia, except for the exempted individuals below:
  • Citizens of Singapore
  • Diplomatic and Official passport holders
 
 Required Documents:
  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
  2. Travel booking confirmation
  3. Proof of accommodation in Malaysia, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Malaysia

Tourist (90-days)

Designed for those who wish to enter Malaysia for leisure, sightseeing, or visiting friends and family:

  • Validity: Usually valid for entering Malaysia within 3 months from the date of issue.
  • Duration: Once you enter Malaysia, you can stay for up to 30 days.

 Required Documents:

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
  3. Travel booking confirmation
  4. Proof of accommodation in Malaysia, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Malaysia

Tourist (12-months)

For travelers who wish to stay longer and get in and out of Malaysia several times during a 12-month period:

    • Validity: Valid for a 12-month period from the date of issue.
    • Duration: Each entry allows a 30-day stay, meaning you can come and go as many times as you want during the 12-month validity, but each stay can’t exceed 30 days.
Required Documents:
  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
  3. Travel booking confirmation
  4. Proof of accommodation in Malaysia, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Malaysia

Long-term documents:

  • Employment: For skilled foreign workers employed in key positions, valid for 1 to 5 years depending on the contract and approval.

  • Professional Visit: For foreign professionals providing services or undergoing training with a Malaysian company on a temporary basis, typically valid for up to 12 months.

  • Dependent: For spouses and dependents of Employment Pass holders, allowing them to stay in Malaysia for the duration of the primary holder’s travel document.

  • Long Term Social Visit: For foreign spouses of Malaysian citizens and their children, allowing long-term stay in Malaysia, renewable every 5 years.

  • My Second Home: For foreigners who wish to retire or reside in Malaysia on a long-term basis, offering a renewable 10-year validity.

  • Student: For international students enrolled in full-time courses at Malaysian educational institutions, valid for the duration of the study program, usually 1 year and renewable.

  • Temporary Employment: For foreign workers in sectors such as manufacturing, construction, and services, typically valid for up to 3 years with possible renewals.

  • Spouse: For foreign spouses of Malaysian citizens, allowing long-term stay with the option to work, valid for 5 years and renewable.

  • Permanent Resident: For foreigners meeting specific criteria such as economic contribution, professional skills, or family ties, allowing indefinite stay with periodic renewals.

These are designed to accommodate various needs, including retirement, business, education, and permanent residency, making Malaysia accessible for extended stays. Unfortunately, these travel documents are not yet available for online applications…

How long does it take to receive my travel document?

Issuing times vary depending on which document you wish to apply for, as well as the destination country. On average, such documents are issued within 3 to 10 business days. We will provide an estimated timeline when you submit your application.

What are the fees?

Our service fees vary depending on the priority of your request, ranging from urgent processing (completed within 24 hours) to standard processing (completed within 10 business days). A detailed breakdown of costs will be provided before you submit your application.

Which countries do you provide travel documents for?

We support applications to travel to Asian countries only. The full list of destinations available can be found in the top menu.

What documents do I need to provide?

Required documents typically include a valid passport, passport-sized photos and travel itinerary. We will reach out to you via email with a checklist tailored to your case if needed.

How can I submit my documents?

You can submit your documents online through our secure portal. To do so:

  1. Select the option you wish to apply for at the top of the page
  2. Fill in your information & upload the requested documents.
  3. Your application will be submitted and process accordingly as soon as the payment is made.
Can you guarantee that my application will be approved?

While we strive to ensure that your application is complete and meets all requirements, we cannot guarantee its approval, as this decision is solely up to the issuing country. If your application is denied, our processing fee will be fully refunded to your account. 

What if my application is delayed or rejected?

In the case of delays, we will notify you as soon as possible and work to resolve any issues. If your application is rejected, we will provide guidance on the reasons and advise on potential next steps, including reapplication if applicable. Our processing fee will be fully refunded in case of rejected applications.

Do you handle urgent or express applications?

Yes, we offer expedited processing services for urgent travel needs, depending on the requirements of the issuing embassy. Urgent processing can be purchased directly through the application form.

Can I track the status of my application?

Yes, once your application is submitted, we will provide regular updates via email so you can follow its progress.
