Tourist (90-days)
Designed for those who wish to enter Thailand for leisure, sightseeing, or visiting friends and family:
- Validity: Usually valid for entering Thailand within 3 months from the date of issue.
- Duration: Once you enter Thailand, you can stay for up to 60 days.
- Extension: It’s possible to apply for an extension of stay for another 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand, making the total potential duration of stay up to 90 days.

- Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
- Photograph taken within the last six months
- Travel booking confirmation
- Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand
Tourist (180-days)
For travelers who wish to stay longer and get in and out of Thailand several times during a 6-month period:
- Validity: Allows multiple entries into Thailand over a 6-month period from the date of issue.
- Duration: Each entry allows a 60-day stay, meaning you can come and go as many times as you want during the 6-month validity, but each stay can’t exceed 60 days.
- Extension: Each entry can potentially be extended for an additional 30 days at a Thai immigration office.
- Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
- Photograph taken within the last six months
- Travel booking confirmation
- Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand
Long-term Documents:
- Non-Immigrant “O-A”: For individuals aged 50 and above who wish to stay in Thailand for up to one year, renewable annually.
- Non-Immigrant “O-X”: For citizens of specific countries aged 50 and above, allowing stays of up to 10 years (5 years initially, renewable for another 5 years).
- Non-Immigrant “O”: For foreigners married to Thai nationals, granting a one-year stay with the possibility of annual renewals.
- Non-Immigrant “O” (Volunteer): For individuals volunteering with recognized organizations in Thailand, allowing stays of up to one year with possible renewals.
- Non-Immigrant “B” : For individuals conducting business or working in Thailand, usually valid for 90 days but extendable for up to one year.
- Non-Immigrant “ED”: For those who wish to study or undergo training in Thailand, typically valid for one year with possible extensions.
- SMART: Designed for highly skilled professionals, investors, executives, and startups in specific industries, offering stays from 1 to 4 years with various benefits and fewer restrictions.
- Elite: Offers multiple packages to live for 5 to 20 years in Thailand with various exclusive benefits and services.
